This is perhaps the earliest known clock by Richard Breckell, having square iron pillars, as well as iron plates. The dial sheet has square corners, not being filed to fit the shaped profile of a normal brass pillar capital. The bellstrap has negative endings, very unusual for a brass bellstrap. Date late 1680s or 1690s.
